Given the fact that Alaska spends far more per person than any other state, cutting spending more any other Governor in the STATE's history is not much of a feat. How does her record hold up to the spending record of other states? Sure she cut earmarks that had been previously requested, but she also requested a bunch of new ones of her choosing. Again, she requested more earmarks in 2008 than any other Governor.

I like Jim DeMint and would support him if he ran for President, but his is a partisan defense of a fellow Republican.
