You are dead on right and I don’t doubt it for a second. They really can’t help themselves. I imagine that lacking anything legit to attack her on they will continue with the meme you’re suggesting and drag it out.

And I say this having sat in on a newspaper’s editorial strategy sessions many a time. All the reporters throw all manner of story angles around. Standard operating procedure. But in this case, they will run with “all” of them, no mater how insane, rather than the 1 or 2 good ideas an honest editor would have his reporters pursue. They are the polar opposite of honest. Like I said in another post, they are like monkeys throwing “Le Poop” at “Le Wall” to see what sticks.
