Wasted Time. Obama got 78% of Jewish Vote in 2008 and I’d predict this time about 70%. A few of these people will come to their senses and realize that Obama is bad news for Israel but most care a lot more about social causes in the US.

I thought Thune had taken himself out of any possible presidential run in 2012.

Amendment to previous post. This is not wasted time in the sense of funding. Although Jewish voters are not gonna vote Republican (a majority of them that is) , even if Lewis Farrahkan were running as a Democrat, Jewish money is important for Republicans.

So did I. Maybe he wants to be Myths VP? He definitely said he won't run in 2012. Maybe he does have something else in mind, or the reporter from the meeting is a few months behind.

Thanks 2ndDivisionVet.
Romney seemed transformed from his failed 2008 bid for the GOP nomination, when he was faulted for appearing scripted and uncertain in his opinions. He barely consulted a single sheet of notes, and spoke in detail not only on his strengths -- health care and budget management -- but about the threats facing Israel from Iran and about the peace process.

What is a "divisive, hyper-conservative"? A term that a Jewish leftist like Ron Kampeas uses to disparage Republicans in general and Jewish Republicans in particular. I'm familiar with this Ron Kampeas' writing and his snide spin is par for the course.
Furthermore, the lack of attendance at this particular event by other GOP presidential hopefuls doesn't mean anything at all - especially at this point where the only announced GOP candidate is Herman Cain. It's the RJC program in Washington later this year or early next year which will be the main event. Kampeas, though, foolishly tries to read some significance into it. He'd be a lot happier covering his pals at the NJDC instead of the RJC.

I have some relatives attending this RJC event in Las Vegas. I’ll be hearing from them.

When is the rjc going to get their act together and stop having their events on Shabbbos and/or serving treif?
And what was Thune doing there? Is he running or not?
