Conservatives can win any state as long as the right candidate is on the ballot

No, they can't, which is why this is going to end in war.

There are competing and mutually incompatible visions of society, and they have gradually become geographic in nature.

Unfortunately, the vision of the majority in deep blue states would dissolve the Union in order to incorporate our population, our land, and our resources into a world economy and government.

These forces of treason have STRONG MAJORITIES in California, in New York, in Illinois, and in Massachusetts.

It does not matter who the conservative is, they cannot win in a statewide race in any of those states.

"There are competing and mutually incompatible visions of society, and they have gradually become geographic in nature."

Conservatives need to engage them in debates. We have to take on the academic left and dominate their brightest intellectuals. We have to go to the farmers and explain why ethanol subsidies aren't good for them. We have to go to the inner cities and explain why liberal policies ruined their lives. But if you're just going to appeal to people who listen to Rush or Sarah Palin's facebook fans, you will lose because the Left also controls the educational system that teaches their kids.
