First and maybe last: I am sick to death of comparisons to President Reagan in any manner!
obama 's name should not be mentioned in the same sentence with President Reagan's!
obama is uniquely unqualified and it follows that his administration from Hell is falling apart. It's incompetent, too, in a capitalist society. It's filled with Marxists.
Kudos to frankenMonkey.

The essential problem of the Kenyan Kabinet is not what they know, but what they THINK they know.

Yeah and Sheets Byrd was a former ‘grand kleagle’ in the KKK and the left practically names the whole state after him.

It is inconceivable that Reagan would ever have transformed himself into the circus barker Obama came to resemble while on the stump in Philadelphia. Ouch!

Your point is correct. The issue today is the transformation of the make up of our country with illegals who dont give a rats ass about our founding and wanting only to plunder what the sorry rat bastards dont take for themselves.

Rapid and often unexplained departures such as the ones we have witnessed at the highest of levels are indicative of an administration in disarray. Yes, the Kenyan Clown's circus certainly is in disarray.

Trent Lott wished an old guy happy birthday and his own party ran him out of town on a rail. A worthy fate for all RINOs.
Lott got tossed because his own party wanted him gone and smelled blood. It felt good and still does.

The headline was from the ‘48 election - Truman was already in office but only because he succeeded FDR after his death, so 48 was really his first run at being president even though he was currently serving. 22nd amendment didn’t apply to him due to grandfathering in.
But Truman opted not to run again ‘52, so Stevenson got the nomination and Eisenhower proceeded to mop the floor with him.
Truman had terrible approval ratings at the time (Korean War mostly, but more to it I’m sure) and stronger contenders for the Dem nomination, that’s probably why he gave up.

Thanks for that explanation. I grew up in NYC, so of course I knew many people who still mourned the lost Stevenson presidency.
Perhaps we are living it now!

"Somewhere among my clutter, rests a button proclaiming, Let Reagan be Reagan, a plea to the president to resist all those purported squishes around him (like Baker, George Schultz, Mike Deaver, and the first lady) who thought he might come out just fine doing business with Gorbachev, pulling troops out of Lebanon, and making peace with the New Deal." hmmmm... I thought they said that when he looked over-coached in a presidential debate.

Truman was NOT elected POTUS in 1944. He finished FDRs term and then was elected POTUS in 1948. The amendment to limit presidents to 2 terms prevented him (he served for more than half of FDR’s term and that made him in-eligiable ) from a 3rd term in 1952.
Eisenhower was elected in 1952 and 1956.
