They’re already throwing Gov. Huckabee into the mix to muddy the waters

Murkowski Would Add To Growing List of Fallen Incumbents

Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski is in danger of becoming the seventh Member of Congress to lose a primary this year, as she trails Republican challenger Joe Miller in Tuesday’s contest. Following Arlen Specter (D-Pa.) and Bob Bennett (R-Utah), Murkowski would be the third senator this cycle to lose, which is the highest total since 1980.

With 61 percent of precincts reporting, Miller led 51 percent to 49 percent, with just 2,300 votes separating the two.

“What’s the moose hunting like in the beltway,” Miller asked in a 3 a.m. EDT message on his Twitter page, when half of precincts were reporting and Miller was clinging to a close margin.

Most political observers were not expecting Miller to mount such a serious campaign against Murkowski, who holds a ten-to-one cash advantage. Plus, despite a dearth of polling on the race, the most recent primary poll showed Murkowski with at least a 30-point lead.

However, Miller had a couple powerful endorsements in his pocket, including former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

The race helped Alaska steal the show on a primary night that featured numerous competitive House races, Sen. John McCain’s (R-Ariz.) big victory and the often unpredictable Florida.

that's ok if Miller wins Palin goes 6-0 for the night on her endorsements. If not she goes 5-1. either one destroys the narrative the MSM has been building since early aug.

Look at this story.

“Primary losses blunt Palin’s ‘mama grizzly’ claws

“”I would expect Sarah’s going to be very embarrassed by the results Tuesday,” said Republican pollster Marc Hellenthal, who is not involved in the primary. “She’s been delivering everybody else’s state but she won’t be able to deliver her own.””

It’s too damned bad about McCain.

It's obvious that Huck's endorsement carried the day, isn't it? I have it on the best authority that Palin made no difference - just listen to any of the dozens of daily stories on almost every news site telling us that she's irrelevant and not newsworthy.
