The Brown endorsement came when he was in State office. Someone posted a link a while ago when he was running for Kennedy's seat.

As for Ann, she (and Laura Ingraham) let their hormones get the best of them and were pulling for Rommey over McCain. Ann made the switch after Duncan Hunter dropped out. But she was pretty high on him before that.
