One of the things I tell my students, or anyone else for that matter, is that "when seconds count, police are just minutes away". I don't say that as a negative toward the law enforcement officers... But it is the truth. In my county of 614 square miles, there are only 6 deputies patroling on any given night, with a couple of those being reserve deputies. There is no way that these guys can get to my house in time to protect my family or me from an intruder. It is my job to do that - so I am prepared to so.
Personal protection is your own responsibility... Make sure to be responsible.

with 20 minute response time police will only be good to draw the chalk line....trust me they would rather draw the chalk line around the perp. My understanding his sister was outside the victims house asleep in their truck from drugs and alcohol. This lady made the call she had to make and I’m proud she did it! I will pray that God will grant her peace over her decision and that she has the support of her family on this!
