Cap and Trade will be a disaster for what is left of manufacturing in this country. Right now, the Rust Belt is just rusty. With Cap and Trade, the rust will inevitably turn into dust. And, for what? Because some politically-driven environmentalists have trumped up a phony belief that mankind is completely killing the planet?

Can you imagine the Democrats killing all the good paying Union jobs by passing Cap and Trade!
You can’t blame George Bush for this job loss.

So far, that is the only reason that has been given. However, since the Obama administration has started operating, it looks like another reason is Obama’s jealous desire to bring United States manufacturing to its economic knees.

The Democrat "No Domestic Energy Policy!"
- No domestic drilling.
- No new refineries.
- No new nuke plants.
- No new dams for hydro-electric.
- No coal.
- No shale.
- Deplete the SPR.
- Let Iran get nukes.
- Let Iraq fall to Iranian domination.
- No Canadian tar sands oil.
All of that puts the U.S. in a position that war for oil or
complete economic collapse will be our only choices.
You can't frustrate every source of domestic energy
without consequences. Our enemies will blackmail us
to the extent that we are vulnerable to blackmail.
The Democrats are leading us into a real war for oil.
A war we won't have the energy to fight. A war we don't need to fight because we have our own resources.

Ha! These morons will do what the Union bosses tell them to do until they are all unemployed and broke. But, its okay because their wealth will have been distributed somewhere else.

How Cap And Trade Will Finally Kill The Rust Belt From the articles I read, Detroit can't get much deader.
To: Petro
Well, emptying out the rust belt will provide plenty of space for the re-education camps.

From the articles I read, Detroit can't get much deader. Probably not, but I'm going to do my best to buy a Ford when I can. Unfortunately it doesn't look like that's in the near future for me.

From the articles I read, Detroit can't get much deader. Detroit is ripe for gentrification!
/sarc (who it their right mind would go there?)
To: reg45
Exactly! That is Obama’s destructive, determined, jealous goal.
