Alright. First, let’s get some facts straight. If McCain isn’t down in the dumps, you shouldn’t be. McCain has been in far worse situations and would see giving into despair now as being dishonorable. As for BrazillionBob, no election has any real bearing on where he’s headed in life, regardless of what he might think. Limbaugh’s secrets to success is not linking his success to his guy winning an election, and he’s going to be doing quite well for himself for the next four years.

Roughly half of the country heard the voice of sanity and voted McCain. Most Obama voters have no idea what kind of a monster they just elected. I will concentrate on teaching my children about the nature of our Republic and the original intent of our Constitution, in the hopes that their generation will spearhead a conservative counter-culture movement.

I started preparing myself for this about 7 weeks ago. It was apparent then that no amount of “scandal” would stop the Obama Express.

Tonight I started planning a big trip overseas. I may never go...but the planning keeps me busy! I can spend hours just searching flight schedules. And then there are the little inns in tiny towns in Provence. Or Tuscany. Or the Swiss Alps. The internet makes it fun whether you ever actually go or not.

In fact, I’m pretty sure the trip is a pipe dream. But I’ve got about 3 years to kill now that I won’t be so much of a newshound. Planning a big trip works for me. Find something you’re interested in and spend some time away from politics for a while.
