Actually a 22 cal or 25 cal is best for bears. You can concel it from the rest of your group and pull it out if the bear charges. You then shoot the person right next to you right behind the knee and then run like hell. The bear will normally eat the slowest person in the group.

Why have a hassle at the airlines with a gun in your luggage (announcing at the counter, red tag, passing security, separate ammo, etc)? Use a ball peen hammer on your "friend's" kneecap.

Why worry about any of this?

Just feed them willing leftists in sufficient quantities on a regular basis. If they ever are hungery when you encountering them, they won't likely associate you with food since you won't smell of body odor, dope and patchouli oil.

Ball peen hammers can also be picked up by metal detectors and is still considered offensive weapons by the airlines. Ball peen hammers can not be used over your shoulder or between your legs while you are running. I will just stick with the pistol.

However if you insist on using the ball peen hammer, why don't you try hitting the charging grizzly in the testicles with the hammer.
