In my opinion it already is. In traditional Protestant denominations in the United States, the issue of homosexual behavior sharply divides between those that believe the Bible and those that don't. You sure are right on the money here. Today the Episcopalian Church ratified the appointment of that openly gay bishop in Vermont. Next week, they will discuss, and probably legiimize, gay marriage. My Episcopalian friends, the silent ones in the pews, are mortified!

Lord have mercy...why are they silent, I'd be screaming at my preacher at the top of my lungs. I'm sorry, the bible is very clear on homosexuality...if the secular world wants to say it's okay well there isn't alot that we can do about it. But in our churchs where the Bible is still supposed to be preached we can.

Your friends should make sure that the leadership at their local church does not believe in the apostasy of a homosexual serving as minister. If they cannot change their church they should leave.

And because they are silent they get what they deserve.
