LOL you're a monarchist.

Perhaps the King's Armies can come stop all those teenage boys from masturbating. Kill them all! Liberty isn't a virtue of the West, Occidental religion is...uh? what?!

Ah, so if some blacks would like to see any criticism of blacks or other racial groups as a jailable offense, that means we should deny blacks the right to exist or engage in Ebonics?

I agree. If pleasure and freedom are what they value most, let them drink their fill of it. A culture where the "right" to commit sodomy is protected by all the power of the State while the right of unborn children to live is not is a culture that I am no longer a part of. From now on we are the outsiders.

And I think that's for the best. Our Lord told is that things would be this way; why are we complaining about it? Bring on the lions!

Sodomy is immoral and contrary to the traditions of Western civilization. The Supreme Court can make it legal, but they can't make it right. My response is going to be to go to more confessions and say more rosaries and spend more time in Adoration. In a world gone mad with lust, only He can save us.

Pathetic!

I take it we should imprison people for being liars too. Hey let's lock up the entire population, and you can be Grand Inquisitor as it is clear to me that you are perfect in every way, and therefore not subject to any authority, be it of heaven or earth.

The law, or rather what the law said, is what got the case to the Court, what they Justices did after that is a different thing.

You can be as abtuse as you would like, but there were no laws addressing specifically and exclusively same-sex sodomy in America until the 1970's.

One of the most important things about understanding the world around you is not lying to yourself, so, if you don't want to see what's as plain as the nose on your face, that's fine, but don't go accusing me of making false statements.

If you don't want to understand the difference between outlawing sodomy for all, and outlawing it for some, then you just don;t want to understand.

By the way, according to your line of reason then, should the government of the State of Texas decide to outlaw Jewish religious ceremonies, there would be no discrimination against Jews because gentiles would be forbidden from participating in Jewish religious ceremonies as well.

Or better yet, we could criminalize performing or participating in Jewish religious ceremonies, and it would not mean that we are discriminating against Jews because gentiles could not participate in, or perform Jewish religious rites either.

"Not at all, which is why I've asked you about private consensual prostitution."

Are you having problems reading?

I sure did.

Now, it's time for you to quit doing the rope-a-dope and answer my question, or rather Skywalk's question:

Which one of your rights is violated by two capable adults engaging in an act of consensual, homosexual sex in the privacy of their own homes?

"The reason I've asked about public sex acts is that you've held that there is an unalienable right to sodomy."

I have not. I have made the argument that the right to privacy exists even though it isn't a Constitutional right, and I have made the argument that not all rights are enumerated.

"Scalia's dissent is absolutely devastating, an epitaph for Christian civilization."

Whoa! wait a minute here." Christian civilization" was last seen during the somewhat dark and "Middle Ages".

The Renaissance, with Erasmus, Pico de la Mirandola, Thomas Moore and a host of others rediscovered and advanced what we must still proudly call "Western Civilization"

Since that time we have not been a Christian Civilization but a proud Western Civilization which has accelerated Science, Philosophy and Arts.

Where we are at now, however is another matter that needs to be addressed. The passive nihilism and decadence of our culture presently can should and must be addressed without longing for "Return"

I now call for the shrill "privacy/sodomy/drinking wine ain't in the constitution" types to answer this challenge that I lay before you.

Name me one RIGHT that you have that is not explicitly listed in the BoR or the later amendments(like the 14th)

The 9th Amendment CLEARLY makes reference to rights that the people possess though not enumerated in the Constitution. This is a fact. So which rights are covered by the 9th?

Do this and at least display some intelligence and consistency.

OK, in Thomas' opinion the law is silly. Moses didn't think the law was silly. Seems to me that of the two, you would value Moses' opinion more, given your deacon-ship, Sink.

O'Connor invented the grounds, she did not find them.

Further, O'Connor and the other old biddy, joined by Mama's boy and the reliable idiot, Kennedy, have acted in flagrant disregard of the 9th Amendment.

Thomas probably doesn't like the speed laws on the Parkway, either. Who cares?

The case arose because one queer called the cop shop and lied, stating that there was a disturbance in another queer's apartment and the complainant thought that there was gunfire.

The cops broke down the door based on the lie of the first queer, and found two other queers committing sodomy. They were told to stop, and ignored the cops' orders, returning to their, ah, job.

And it WAS a job. THe queers had been talking about this sort of a setup for years, just like the setup which became RoevWade.

Lies, death, queers---always in the same places, same times.

Ahh, yes. Polycarp has campaigned for YEARS that all adulterers, fornicators, and abortion-providers should be SHOT at STADIUMS as paid sporting events following convictions.

Further, he has campaigned for removal of all locks from all doors so that he and his fellow travelers could simply walk into private residences and observe sexual activity.

Get a life, Jorge. Take your meds and work at DU.

Ratzinger does not, however, have one single word to say about enshrining into law criminal penalties for what homosexuals do behind closed doors.

Only because he'd have to lock up a big percentage of his priests. That said, this was another big lose in the fight against immorality. It does prove to me that I am only a sojourner here on this earth. Mathetes put it best:

5:1  For Christians are not distinguished from the
rest of mankind either in locality or in speech or in
customs.
5:2  For they dwell not somewhere in cities of their
own, neither do they use some different language, nor
practice an extraordinary kind of life.
5:3  Nor again do they possess any invention
discovered by any intelligence or study of ingenious
men, nor are they masters of any human dogma as some
are.
5:4  But while they dwell in cities of Greeks and
barbarians as the lot of each is cast, and follow the
native customs in dress and food and the other
arrangements of life, yet the constitution of their
own citizenship, which they set forth, is marvelous,
and confessedly contradicts expectation.
5:5  They dwell in their own countries, but only as
sojourners; they bear their share in all things as
citizens, and they endure all hardships as strangers.
Every foreign country is a fatherland to them, and
every fatherland is foreign.
5:6  They marry like all other men and they beget
children; but they do not cast away their offspring.
5:7  They have their meals in common, but not their
wives.
5:8  They find themselves in the flesh, and yet they
live not after the flesh.
5:9  Their existence is on earth, but their
citizenship is in heaven.
5:10  They obey the established laws, and they
surpass the laws in their own lives.
5:11  They love all men, and they are persecuted by
all.
5:12  They are ignored, and yet they are condemned.
They are put to death, and yet they are endued with
life.
5:13  They are in beggary, and yet they make many
rich. They are in want of all things, and yet they
abound in all things.
5:14  They are dishonored, and yet they are
glorified in their dishonor. They are evil spoken of,
and yet they are vindicated.
5:15  They are reviled, and they bless; they are
insulted, and they respect.
 5:16  Doing good they are punished as evil-doers;
being punished they rejoice, as if they were thereby
quickened by life.
5:17  War is waged against them as aliens by the
Jews, and persecution is carried on against them by
the Greeks, and yet those that hate them cannot tell
the reason of their hostility.

Your bolded text is not news. See "Casey" and Kennedy's majority opinion thereon. "We are right because we are right, regardless of any and all evidence to the contrary."

a right is not explicitly listed in the constitution that it doesn't exist.

As SInky undoubtedly recalls from his Moral Theo 101 course: "No one has a 'right' to do wrong."

There is NO right to cornhole, homo, hetero, or bestial. Period.

Yes, and that is MORAL theology. American civil society is not governed by Catholic moral theology, but by the Constitution.
