My favorite example comes up just about every year: it usually runs like this,
Teenage High School boys report having had sex 45%
Teenage High School girls report having sex 25%

What nobody ever mentions is the implicit promiscuity of the girls in that type of sample.

Unless of course we assume the extra boys are doing boys or non High School girls.

The more likely answer is the boys are just engaging in bragging and wishful thinking.

I understand why people get upset with militant homosexual activists; what I don't understand is why we have militant homosexual activists.

Self-reported sexual activity can be inaccurate.

These reports that male homosexuals have 10,000 sexual partners a year or something like that are highly suspicious. I always chuckle when good-meaning Christians quote such statistics to “prove” their case.
