A Big, Bad, California BUMP to that.
Tom McClintock for:
- Governor
- Senator (not just State Senator, but the real thing)
- Overlord of Northridge (just kiddin'...)
By far the best guy in the state for any of those jobs

Ray Hanes isn't far behind.

(Because there are people in power who are truly evil.)
Note to the folks behind this campaign: Make the letter short and to the point.
I'm not going to read it. My question is this: Is there a mechanism in the California Constitution for recall of the Governor? If so, state and why Gov Davis should be recalled. Can the emotional plea.

How easy is it to recall a standing Governor? Has it ever been done before? I really, really despise Davis. Quirk in CA law -- because turnout was so low in 2002, people think they have a shot at getting a recall election. They threshhold for signatures is relative to the turnout.

Good guy too. Lower statewide name recognition...but that could be cured if the state party tried...

How about gross negligence in "managing" the 5th 6th 7th ?th largest "nation state" economy in the world, influence peddling, letting the demmieRats steal the rainy day reserve funds, and he is just not a nice guy? For starters... hmmm? Oh, I forgot , rampant cronyism.

Is there a mechanism in the California Constitution for recall of the Governor? If so, what are the provisions?

Sorry, I was over at the NASA Press Conference thread and posting an article about the EU and whether it should include the word God in its charter.
The provision for recalling a Governor or any elected state official was passed in 1910 by the voters of California. I see you have the link up for it, Thanks.

Gray did do at least one thing right, however: he vetoed Gil Cedillo's driver's licenses for illegal aliens bill.

I mean where else are we in Colorado going to find all those nice business firms that are leaving your state??? No problem. Since Cal is the 5th largest economy on the planet, we can lose a few, and it wont bother me one bit. Oh, and we well send you a few hundred thousands illegal aliens your way too. I hear you guys in colorado only have about 500,000 illegals, so I guess you could use some more. Since Colorado is illegal alien friendly too, consider it done.

I won't have a chance at all -- I live in Virginia.
But, both my children and quite a few FRiends live in CA, so I am urging Californians to throw the bum out!
California will be a better state without Greyout Davis as Governor, IMHO. He has been and will continue to be a walking disaster.

Maybe so, but if he can be recalled, he ought to be recalled.

On what grounds? That he is a slimy liar and a liberal? That would require recalling almost all of the politicions in the country. They can't even recall the criminals.
