To be honest, its not that hard to grow tobacco, although you need have the time to dry the stuff out. A guy with a 300 sq ft green house could make more than enough for himself and probably 10 friends and never spend more than $100 a year on costs. The government, both state and federal, don't grasp that this is entirely possible. You can get a decent greenhouse for $2k and put it behind your house on one Saturday afternoon. And of course, you don't 'sell' to your friends...you simply give them bag of tobacco, and they donate $20 for your friendship. They get enough tobacco for two months. Perfectly legit. They save well over $120 and you make just enough to cover your expenses and enjoy your own 'stash'.

I think more and more people are seriously looking into growing their own, that includes me. :-}
