[history]
The executive director of a law enforcement group that endorses Republican gubernatorial nominee Bill Simon said today he had two photos showing then Lt. Gov. Gray Davis accepting a campaign contribution in his state Capitol office -- in violation of the law.

Agreed as to COPS. If you check out these threads, you'll see more discussion on their left leaning genesis. But as noted elsewhere on these photos, it appears that Grayout may have had four LG offices. Inquiring minds...

Agreed as to COPS. If you check out these threads, you'll see more discussion on their left leaning genesis. But as noted elsewhere on these photos, it appears that Grayout may have had four LG offices. Inquiring minds...It'll be interesting to see if this goes anywhere after all. Simon's backpedaling responses, and COPS' "We have no proof" comments, haven't given me much reason to believe it will, though.
Which brings me to another question which just popped into my head as we've been discussing COPS: why in the world did Simon play ball with them in the first place, and give them the $100,000?
What is UP with Simon's advisors?

Who knows. They have not been the best, that's for sure. He is still going to win though. Watch...

Photos not showing up! those were pretty large graphic files and the website he used to post it has disabled his site for a while because he's exceeded his bandwidth quota.
If anyone else has the large photo(s) please post them (or a link to them). Yes!!! So sorry! I even pay to have the Geocities Plus expanded storage and bandwidth.
The page says my daily bandwidth was exceeded but my monthly. A LOT of traffic to see those pics.
Today I read there is so much huge debate about whether the pictures were a state office or a private office. Clearly they were not the Lt. Gov's office. I don't know what to believe...!?!?!

I read on another thread that eGray had FOUR (4) different offices while serving as Lieutenant Governor.
If this picture was not taken at the CURRENT office, where WAS it taken?

People who know Davis know he is for sale. Everyone who knows Davis believes this photo is for real. And South will do everything to cover it up. Oh, so now the official position is that Gray Davis and Gary South should exculpate themselves from what they can already show is at least a technically bogus claim? Gimmeabreak. Tell that to a reporter and they'll just roll their eyes.
People who call themselves campaign PROFESSIONALS should have checked this out thoroughly before giving the information to the candidate. If they didn't, heads should roll. If heads don't roll, it means something more concerning.
God bless Bill Simon for having the too much class to do any finger-pointing. He doesn't deserve this kind of treatment from his own Party.

I don't care what they all say - re the COPS issue, this seems to be more of the usual double standard - Dems can
lie, cheat, break the law and it's "dirty tricks". Let the staff of a Pub stub his toe, and the campaign is over?! Give me a break. We've got more than 3 weeks to go. I've plastered your big yellow "Dump Davis" stickers on the cruddiest dumpsters in the industrial parts of San Clemente - major blue collar areas - these people never heard the debate, don't know the issues - but they can't miss the stickers.
Thanks again for your efforts in supplying the stickers.

It ain't over. Davis is hated.
Simon has to start looking like he is already the governor and Davis just doesn't know it.

Which brings me to another question which just popped into my head as we've been discussing COPS: why in the world did Simon play ball with them in the first place, and give them the $100,000?Now the figure is $300,000, plus another $144,000 to an associated consulting firm.
