What I still don't understand, since I heard this for over forty years is, what part of 'Cigarette smoking is bad for your health' didn't these people understand. My grandmother was a chain smoker, she die at age eighty-eight. That's not bad and she never regreted smoking. My father and brothers all smoked and quit, why couldn't any of them. They smoked because they want to. It's like living in some counties in Florida, they people live their because they like being stupid and can blame their stupidity on others.

Why is it that liberals, i.e., members of the left, get to chose their deathstyle choice, but no one else is allowed?
How much has AIDs cost taxpayers? Fat welfare mothers? Welfare hypocondriachs who sit around and think about their poor aches and pains all day from getting out of bed in the late afternoon? Parents who deliberatly tell their kids to act stupid to collect SS for ADD?

I know 2 "divorced, single mothers" who are on permanant dissability and collecting SS for their "dissability" -- Nerves. They're too nervous to hold a job!
They're going to college now, paid for by taxpayers because they're "disabled", so they can be educated enough to get a job.
Excuse me, but if they're so "permanatly disabled" they can't work, why are we paying to train them for a job?

And one more thing. A couple across town have givin birth to 6 genetically deformed kids. They send them to school, and they're free all day. The schools have all kinds of "free" programs for them. The parents do nothing.
They collect SS for each one of them. All medical bills are paid, operation after operation. The last just had open heart surgery.
Now, I can see wanting a child or two, but if you know your kids are going to grow up to be deformed, medically unable to survive without constant operations, and learning disabled, wouldn't you think about that before having 6 of them?
Neither parent has to work. They own a huge home, 2 new suvs, and an RV so they can travel when they get bored. They plan on having more children, because the mother just hit 30 and they want the money.
Are they not costing us in medical costs as well? How many people in America have found a way to scam the system? I would suggest going after fraud and abuse long before going after someone using a legal product sold at the local mini mart!

One mother at our local homeschhool group has a "learning disabled" son. She collects dissability for a "nervous" problem, too. She collects for her "disabled" son. The kid if just fine. The kids is really smart, and I'm amazed at how well he does his math. He's a normal boy, but she keeps comming up with things she finds wrong with him. "He has an anger problem", so now we're paying for him to go to the local school "for help."

This is the stuff that urks me. Tobacco illness costs are nothing compared to the money we taxpayers are dishing out to anyone who says "ouch. Fix my boo boo. When can I expect my check?"

That doesn't appear to be the issue dude... Compare all those hefty folks trying to sue Mickey D's because "the french fries made 'em fat"...

The issue is, some damn ambulance chaser showed up on their doorstep and said "Pssst hey you, you wanna make some cash???"

I was born, raised and sadly wtill live in the Great Socialist State of Pennsylvania. In fact I'm in Pittbsurgh, Mother city of unionism and surrounded by democRATS.
