Thank you for that trip down memory lane. I also remember articles in the Sac Bee that showed that the ISO had asked Enron to cut a schedule as as to punish a PNW utility. That the Cal ISO had asked Reliant to schedule power over a transmission path to a point that there was no load. There was another Cal ISO request to DWR, if I remember correctly to do a strange trade as well.
In my mind, the Cal ISO has its finger prints all over a lot of the California Energy crisis and was as if not more guilty of the various En-wrong type Fat Boy, Death Star, Get Shorty, kinds of trades than any of the power traders. At least more smoking guns for the real purpose of manipulating the market have been laid at the door of the Cal ISO than any other power marketer.
No wonder FERC wants to change their leadership and Davis doesn't.
