Some of us have a problem with a President treating a specific racial group in this country as anything but Americans and more like favored "pets" and giving them substantial and costly benefits for political gain.

Bush isn't doing that with any racial group. He also isn't doing it to Latinos/Hispanics, because they aren't a specific racial group.

Good point. There are white Hispanics, black Hispanics, Indian etc. etc.
It's unfortunate that some need to throw the race card into this debate.

What the hell planet are you on? Come out in the sunlight once in awhile. Mexicans/Hispanics/Latinos sure as hell are a recognized minority and get preference over whites. How doe's that make you feel? You could have served in Vietnam or elsewhere and some Hispanic from Guatemala matters more than you do. Only a loser would stand for that and think it is fair.
