A big AMEN to this article. There are far worse things portrayed and promoted by Hollywood than smoking. Smoking is a choice -- it may be a bad choice -- but then, so is over-eating, consuming too much alcohol, driving too fast, not getting enough exercise, etc.

There are those of us who believe that the quality of life is more important than the quantity.

And I don't need some reformed smoker, or the government to make these choices for me so that I can spend my final years in a nursing home with alzheimers.

Anyone concerned with my health and welfare can discourage Hollywood from glamorizing the sex and violence that encourages the psychotics in our society to mimic.
