My company specializes in taking infra-red images and can produce maps of the fire within 2 hours after landing.
Nobody with the USFS would authorize us to help out during the Colorado fires, so out of frustration, we flew the mission anyway.
Like it or not, the USFS loved our ability to locate the fires with accuracy and we made a difference. The people on the ground absolutly loved our data.
Now get this! We provide the data and not the airplanes for other usage. Our aircraft fly at 10,000 feet above the fires and do not present a problem with other essential aircraft. But according to USFS regulation, our airplanes must comply to their regulations for carrying passengers.
Unfortunatly, the USFS has strict rules about aircraft that are used for fighting the fires and they used those rules to prevent us from help out.
Hopefully, by next year, we can finally be approved by their imspectors.
Oh well, homes will be lost and thousands of miles of our forests will be sacrificed this year.
We did everything in our power to help out this year, but it was nothing but a wasted effort.

>He also stressed that the USFS has gone "green" and that we are supporting our own downfall by supporting the big Enviromental conglomerates.Definitely a "to steal, and to kill, and to destroy" agenda. John 10:10.

At the risk of sounding too radical and anarchistic, the "system" is so distorted, warped and twisted that only a massive reorganization would do any good.
But, hey!......the Founders are dead and so is the nation they once led.

Good Morning AuntB. It is always good to hear from You.
Just imagine what it would be like if it was always good news.
I think what we are witnessing is the governments way of letting natural and set fires take our land while they watch.
I'm sure You've seen what's happening in Florida.
It would seem to me that if this information was documented , that these asses could be sued and the government would pay for the repairs. I know that means us paying , but the people wouldn't lose their land and homes.
I hate this AuntB , and I'm already worrying about the Klamath farmers. Are any of these fires in their area , does it look like water will be a problem for them again this year ?

all our pilots have more than 15,000 hours, they all in their fifties, most of them, and were waiting on some college student while peoples homes are burning.Yep... Sounds about right... That part about the Dip Shyte Manager (i.e. some dumba$$ enviro major with a massive ego complex who wouldn't know a lefthanded monkey wrench from their a$$ in the ground) considering him/herself as "boss" would really chap my Republican a$$ if I were one a them pilots. I would get so damn frustrated, I'd end up doing something insurrectionist. I don't play well with others, especially if the others ain't got the sense the Good Lord gave a horned toad...

What you describe is exactly what I'm hearing from so many people trying to help. It's beyond madness.

maxwell, the enviro's and the USFS are concerned with fair play. It's hard to abide by the rules when they are constantly changing and biased.

I agree, Gov. Taxlover is absolutely psycho when it comes to the way he talks about Lars who just happens to have a radio talk show expanding over the entire Pacific Northwest. I wouldn't be surprised if Lars eventually is broadcast in the entire Western US.

BTTT. The same kind of bureaucratic delaying BS killed those firefighters last year (wasn't that in Oregon, too?)

...Maybe after this "green" conflagration is over, brown earth, (carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen, and oxygen) can get back to business. I can wait for chlorophyll to regenerate...

Am I mistaken, has Lars been a host on the "Savage Nation"? Heard him somewhere, very good listen... There is a show syndicated here in east Tennessee Saturday afternoons which I believe (don't hold me to it) is called the "American Perspective", which covers topics the mainstream usually ignores (UN, sovereignty issues, immigration, TWA 800, and such). It is hosted by two gentlemen, and that name Lars Larsen REALLY rings a bell. I will check it out this afternoon to see if it is him.
