These are the cases you hear about, Gramma. It's more the ones we don't hear of that concern me.

If someone could have interceded to prevent the outcome I would have no objections. If that intercession required the death of a perp or two I would have no objection. I would give the benefit of doubt to who interceded with regard what action needed to be taken.

But guilt is not in question when the act is in commission. Determining guilt at a subsequent date is quite a different matter. In the latter case you must rely on witnesses or snitches or what evidence can be gathered by detectives. All can seem reliable but all have been less than reliable.

They all concern and scare and anger me. All of them. Each child, born, pre-born, thinking about being conceived....they all concern me.

If this society cannot protect it's most vulnerable, what right do we have to exist? How DARE we say God Bless America when things like this continue, over and over and over? Sadly, I fear, they'll continue, only more so....

I'm sorry, but you and I totally disagree on the subject of capital punishment. It may not necessarily look like it on this thread, and I know it's improper to bring from one to another, but before today's "other" thread, I don't think I've ever seen you or visa versa.....Anyway, I'm rambling on.

As a society, we DO need to kill these people . The good people, the decent people, need to take it back before it's taken from us. Do I necessarily approve of public execution? Probably not, but that's not on this thread, not yet...(I think).

I'll keep checking this thread, so if you answer and I'm not here.....it's cuz I'm doing housewifeystuffyaknow.

So, if Brianna WERE alive, and WERE old enough to testify, I assume the death penalty WOULD be fine in this case?
