Homosexual Researchers Debunk ‘Born Gay’ Urban Legend

Washington, DC – Urban Legends are extremely difficult to stop once they’ve reached the email circuit or the Internet. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC), for example, still receives thousands of petitions each year from Christians who have been told that Madalyn Murray O’Hair is trying to get all Christian programming removed from TV and radio. Mrs. O’Hair has been dead for many years now, but the petitions continue to reach the FCC from alarmed Christians.

Emails and the Internet contribute to the spread of urban legends, but these information sources are also useful in helping us dispel urban legends. Traditional Values Coalition has recently launched its own urban legend site to debunk misinformation spread by homosexual activist organizations about the nature and prevalence of homosexuality in our culture. Our Homosexual Urban Legend site has just added a new legend that needs to be debunked: The claim that homosexuals are “born gay” and that homosexuality is fixed and unchangeable from birth.

The “Born Gay” urban legend is actually being exposed as false by homosexual researchers themselves. Homosexual researcher Dean Hamer, for example, notes that homosexuality is not “purely genetic…environmental factors play a role. There is not a single master gene that makes people gay.” Homosexual researcher Simon LeVay, who attempted to find a genetic basis for homosexuality by examining the differences in the hypothalamus between “homosexual” and “heterosexual” males, has written: “I didn’t show that gay men are born that way, the most common mistake people make in interpreting my work. Nor did I locate a gay center in the brain.”

Therapists who treat men and women struggling with same-sex attractions say that there are several consistent factors that contribute to the emergence of homosexuality: gender confusion in childhood, a failure to internalize maleness, and sexual abuse by a same-sex predator. Dr. Gregory Dickson, whose doctoral thesis is on the relationship between a mother and son in the development of homosexuality, found that 49% of the homosexuals he surveyed said they had been molested, compared to less than 2% of heterosexuals. Other research confirms what therapists have known for decades: Homosexuals are made, not born. And they are frequently “made” by older men who molest them as youngsters.

Counselor Dr. Robert Hicks, author of The Masculine Journey has some sobering thoughts on the real origins of homosexual attractions: “…In counseling gay men for twenty years, I have not had one yet whom I would say had a normative childhood or normative adolescent development in the sexual arena. More often than not I have found stories of abusive, alcoholic, or absent (physically and emotionally) fathers; stories of incest or first experiences of sex forced upon them by older brothers, neighborhood men, or even friends. I sometimes find these men have been early exposure to pornography….” It is worth repeating: Homosexuals are made, not born.

This may not be good news to hardened homosexual activists who continue to engage in life-threatening behaviors. It should be good news to those men and women who struggle with same-sex attractions but who wish to lead normal lives. Organizations like Exodus International and the National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality are available to help free these individuals from same-sex attractions and a sexual behavior that can ultimately kill them.

Christians who oppose homosexuality are frequently accused of being unloving, but there is nothing more loving than helping a person to become free of a life-controlling and self-destructive behavior. How many more patches will be added to the AIDS Quilt before someone says enough is enough: Homosexuality kills.

Pedophilia is a male problem, whether its victims are young boys or (the much more) likely young girls.

Pedophiles are more male than female by a ratio of 10:1, but female peds and ephebophiles do exist -- Mary Kay LeTourneau, Paula Poundstone are just two of the more recent cases. How many girls' gym coaches have initiated the next generation of sapphic girls? Yes, Virginia, there is a problem with female ephebophiles.

The men who act out are mostly heterosexual and prey on girls. Married men usually pick on teenaged or prepubescent girls. But the homosexual men who are not strictly pedophiles but ephebophiles (pederasts) are much more active than the hets, so that the numbers of boys molested by men is close to that of the number of girls molested.

And the boys who are hit on by men don't have to be "gay" themselves....it's a truism of male sexuality, that men don't care about the orientation of their sex partner, as long as he/she comes across. Hence the pederastic expression, "I'm going to skin some chicken tonight!"

I have a serious problem from the outset with anyone who thinks that the 5% have a moral right to mug the 95% and whip them into line using lies and bullyragging. Here is a concept foreign to many on this forum: the function of sex is pro-creation. Its dictated by nature, just as biology dictates that life begins at conception.

Simple questions I like to ask to get people thinking about the intrinsic evils of "birth-control" and unnatural sex acts are: "What other bodily system do people deliberately damage? Would a sane person blind himself? Cut off his hand?" "Would a sane person try to eat a meal with his ears? Stick a finger in his eye?"

We regard these things as obviously wrong and unnatural, yet why do we use a different standard when it comes to ________?

I respectfully disagree. We don't have heterosexual pride parades but the gays have gay pride parades. It's my business when they behave outrageously in public. They flaunt their sexual choices in order to force their views on dissenting adults. They have an agenda and I disagree with flaunting ANY sexual choices in public. Their flagrant sexual displays in public are meant for shock value. Btw, I have a brother who is gay. I love him dearly. And he has personal dignity. He and his friends have never "displayed" themselves in public.

We happened to be driving through New York City once and got intertwined with a gay rights parade. While we were stuck in traffic and forced to watch, including my three children, men in string bikinis on floats acting out anal intercourse. Then came a giant phallic condom float. And so on, and so on. (We didn't see a NAMBLA float, but I understand it's often there.) Gays have the right to engage in the most perverted kinds of sexuality if they want (though they endanger themselves, and rarely show concern for the others with regard to the manifold diseases they spread around). But to showcase such on the streets of New York? The society's gone mad. I resent this kind of behavior. I resent that my children saw it. I resent the fact the millions of other innocent children see it. Gays should be ashamed of themselves when they do this. But of course they're not. When you believe that having anal intercourse with scads of anonymous partners (a very common gay practice, according to CDC statistics), there's little to be ashamed about.

Before the address change, I also successfully linked to the lesbian pedophilia web site via link provided by Google. What INOORH has posted on the International Organization of Heterosexual Rights web site are the contents of some of the pages. I can tell you that there were a large number of lesbian pedophilia links and and some of the stuff was pornographic in nature. No surprises there.

In the thread An UPDATE for "Womens Auxillary of NAMBLA", INOORH offered to supply the "backdoor address" to the "Butterfly Kisses" web site. I've emailed INOORH with that request. And you're right Clint, many people did see the lesbian pedophila web site before it moved.

Millie, there is a lesbian pedophilia problem and it's currently being investigated and documented. Squealing about it won't change that fact.

I saw some sort of program on Cher, and it was noting that Cher, on her many stage trips and such, left her daughter (Chastity) with a women caretaker. It turned out the caretaker was lesbian, and initiated Cher's daughter into lesbian sex (while the daughter was still quite young). Cher's daughter today is a confirmed lesbian. The result, I believe, of a determined lesbian molester.

In the "Speaking Out" section of the "Butterfly Kisses" web site, there were several posts that reported on similar initiations of young girls (in the 8 to 12 year-old range). One was about the initiation of a ten year old girl by her friend's mother. The article was entitled something like "First Time" and it went into touch-by-touch pornographic detail of the affair. I can tell you it was absolutely sick!

Homosexual pedophila, both "gay" and "lesbian", is now a serious problem. While it is true that many children being abused by homosexuals are teenagers, the number of younger children affected is increasing rapidly. And yes, heterosexual pedophilia is a problem, as can be seen from the following web site:

Some of us have been concerned about the above worldview for over a decade. Just a few months ago there were gay folks on FreeRepublic stating the above would never be accepted. I'm not saying it's accepted now, but in reading the above it's clear they want acceptance and it's just a matter of time before non-thinking folks start believing the lies of pedophiles.
