Inability to reduce --or make an effort to reduce government spending --- Thhis is a tragic mistake that likely will end up costing him the election as the government reduires more funds and the deficit grows.

I believe Bush cut the discretionary budgets of all departments except two -- education (not good) and defense(good). That's about 25 or more other departments.

I still believe that he has allowed many bills to pass that should have had the pork removed. also, his rhetoric does not seem to indicate the need for frugality --- and the Congress has never been frugal.
