new rationale you outlined for "discovering" that homosexuality was not a paraphilia and not a disorder, if other mental-health criteria were satisfied.

I freep-mailed this new position paper to lentulusgracchus on why homosexuality still is a paraphilic disorder. You should have it too, copy to your hard drive, negative research on homosexuality tends to disappear off line, Nadar Kalantar’s research paper Is There a Gay Gene is now off line other than the JPEG’s.

Paraphilia and Distress in DSM-IV

Thanks for the links and the warning. I had thought that the interesting opinion survey of practitioners that disappeared was taken down simply to free up server space, or as part of normal housekeeping, but perhaps you're right -- someone is making these papers "go away".

Maybe we need to start messaging people at these sites and checking up a little on why certain things are taken down, who took them down -- and is he an activist?

Thanks for the links. Well, at least we know who's responsible for taking down Kalantar's work: the site is UCLA's, so the snatch would appear to be the work of their campus PC Police.

I've encountered Soble's name, tossed out with hostile aspersions, in an extended quote of Mel White of the gay Christian group (yes, I'm aware of the oxymoron) SoulForce, in a rant he gave encouraging gays no longer to discuss issues with "non-reconciling" non-gays and not to cooperate with them in any way whatsoever, but waging propaganda war on them instead, while taking the liberties to which gays think they are entitled.

But then, perhaps you posted that speech, too. I'm not sure where I saw it, but it was likely here on Freeper.

Thanks again for the links.

Got it - Thanks again!

You're right about negative research articles disappearing...

Scrip - do have the Paraphilia and Distress in DSM-IV article in the database?
