"We consider ourselves unauthorized to saddle posterity with our debts," said Thomas Jefferson, who founded the Democratic Party to which Gov. Davis belongs. The governor's policies are the opposite: to saddle posterity - our children and grandchildren - with the perpetual costs of his ambition and folly.
Ouch! Davi$ IS definitely not a Jefferson. One More Reason To ..
DUMP DAVI$ & the Den of Socialists
GO SIMON

Gray Davis is a typical, power obsessed, Democrat politician.
The people who intend to vote for him, or most other Democrats, should be known as DENSOCRAPS!

Any chance the car manufacturers will begin talk of boycotting California? Wouldn't that be great?

How come the text bleeds over into the key word list? I've only seen this on a few posts but don't know what causes it.

California is 10% of the US auto market so they say. I wish the auto manufacturers had the guts and the smarts to kiss that 10% off. Can it be better business to try to sell 90% of your cars at $3500 more than they are worth? Or is it better to tell the 10% to buzz off.
If I were making the manufacturers decision, I would offer a few all electrics and a few fuel cell cars at $70K to $100K a pop for import to California and offer lots of my regular cars for sale in Las Vegas to be imported Lord knows where.

I've had the trouble a number of times.
I am picking up a table HTML command, I think!

The topics and keywords are in what is called a "floating table." Apparently there are bugs in the implementation of this browser feature. More than likely, I'll end up getting rid of the floating table, changing where the topics and keywords are listed (probably the bottom of the article.)

I have always been told that 10% of your customers cause 90% of your problems, GET RID of THEM!

Here's the resolution we passed at this past weekend's California Republican Assembly Board Meeting on this subject:
WHEREAS Assembly Bill 1493 (Pavley) would authorize the un-elected bureaucrats on the California Air Resources Board to adopt disastrous regulations to dictate automobile emissions without regard to science or economic impact; and,
WHEREAS AB 1493 passed the Legislature on a party-line vote, with the Democrats in full support of the bill as part of their long-term war against the automobile as the sumbol of freedom in modern America; and,
WHEREAS liberal Governor Gray Davis signed AB 1493 in an attempt to satisy the most fanatical elements of the environmental terrorist movement and their Marxist allies who seek to stamp out all individual freedom; and,
WHEREAS the implementation of AB 1493 by un-elected bureaucrats threatens to increase the cost of new vehicles, increase the cost of gasoline, and force Californians to drive smaller and more dangerous vehicles; and,
WHEREAS the alleged purpose of AB 1493 is ludricrous on its face, since total carbon dioxide emissions from automobiles in California constitute an immeasurably small fraction of the carbon dioxide in the Earth's atmosphere; and,
WHEREAS the eco-terrorists who support AB 1493 have failed to even demonstrate that carbon dioxide emissions from automobiles have detrimentally impacted the atmosphere; and,
WHEREAS Governor Davis' corrupt fund-raising practices give every Californian reason to fear that the regulations ultimately adopted by The California Air Resources Board to implement AB 1493 will be motivated by secret campaign contributions and illegal bribes; and,
WHEREAS only a referendum will prevent the enactment and implementataion of AB 1493 and only a referendum will allow the voters of California to resolve this critical issue; now, therefore be it,
RESOLVED that the California Republican Assembly Board of Directors opposes the implementation of AB 1493 and continues to oppose the Democrats and their war against automobiles and individual freedoms; and, be it further,
RESOLVED that the California Republican Assembly Board of Directors hereby endorses a referendum campaign to allow the voters of California to defeat this misguided legislation.
