SACRAMENTO -- As the state enters its fourth week without a budget, Democratic lawmakers from the Northern San Joaquin Valley say they have little appetite for the spending bill stalled in the Assembly.
Assemblyman Dennis Cardoza, D-Merced, and Assemblywoman Barbara Matthews, D-Tracy, said they disagree with the level of spending in the $99 billion plan the Senate approved last month.
