Unfortunatly, Mineta's probably one of the safest cabinet members at least until the November elections. Bush doesn't want the only Democrat to leave before the mid-terms. I also think that the no guns in the cockpit policy is due to Mineta's insistence. IMO, there is no way Bush is against armed pilots. My guess is look for a Mineta resignation and a change in policy after the elections.
