SACRAMENTO (AP) - Even as Gov. Gray Davis was being accused of mingling his hunger for fund-raising with state business, he was collecting campaign contributions at a clip of more than $2 million a month from a variety of donors, according to documents filed Tuesday.

Money .. It shouldn't come down to money .. SiMon shouldn't be shy of digging deep into his own pockets. His family has done well in America. We The People would appreciate it.
It's a fight about Principles and Rights and Turning the Tide of Socialism back on its Heels ..
We Must Stop Davi$ .. I dread thinking what 4 more years will do to this state financially, morally, politically.
Trendsetters? (in raising massive amounts of campaign dollars maybe!)
DUMP DAVI$ & the Den of Socialists
GO SIMON

HOLY COW!! 31 MILLION! With that much moola he ought to give it to the poor, since the RATS are soooooo concerned about the little guy! FAT CHANCE!

Davis also fetched repeat donations from a spectrum of high-profile donors including Hollywood and business moguls who frequently chip in to political campaigns. And he collected millions from a ``who's who'' list of developers and business officials who have done business with the state and many of whom Davis has appointed to state boards and commissions. Good grief! Does the ethical standard of avoiding "conflict of interest" only apply to Republicans?

Although the investigation put a spotlight on Davis' fund-raising, the committee did not issue a final report on its findings. Oracle never was even a blip on the radar screen. At least Gray-out's name was never mentioned in the same breath as Oracle. 31-Million wow, no wonder I have seen the same slam against Simon here in Sacramento on TV for the last 2 months. Simon put the last multi-million dollar man away, and he will do the same for Mr. Davis. Thank you very much.

I find it pretty amazing that this article doesn't talk about Dick Riordan.
Davis had $31.6 million in his campaign account at the end of June, even after spending more than $18 million this yearTom McClintock's campaign website shows a Davis corruption counter at over $79.5 million.
The new Davis Inc. Favors-for-Friends clock calculates the total amount of political money that Gray Davis has piled up while in office and exactly what favors some of these friends apparently received for their support.
Taxpayers can go to www.TomMcClintock.com and learn about the latest favors-for-friends and what they can do to help put an end to Gray Davis' and the Democrats spectacular incompetence and corruption in managing California's finances.

Been busy, but thanks to "Libertarianize the GOP" it is on the list. I'll just add the Easy search banner.

A question for anyone who might know: If Gray Davis loses the election, yet is left with say, $25,000,000 in his campaign fund, what happens to that money? I know in federal elections the law changed so that the candidate can't keep the money, but what about state elections.

So far this year, Davis' finance report shows, he has spent $18.7 million, mainly on advertising, political consultants and polling.:-) Money well spent, in my book. Nearly $19 mil has got him losing to Simon in 8 out of 10 polls, and having over a 50% disapproval rating across the board.

``We've always said that we expect Gray Davis to outspend us, but we're going to have enough money to tell our story,'' Russo said. That's what's important.
Go Simon!

Obviously the only "work" grayout has done is put the state into debt while he extorted campaign funds.
