It's not that voters were hanging on every word at the state Capitol last week, wondering why another budget wasn't delivered on time.
But Republicans are convinced that the state's failure to produce a spending plan by the start of the fiscal year might do some serious damage to Gov. Gray Davis as he seeks re-election.

John is posting lots of good articles today detailing the infighting going on up north!
OTOH, they haven't caved before the battle has been joined, so maybe there is hope.
Sign me cynical...
I just want to know are they willing to give up their SUV's just like their shady AB1493 dictates, or are we, the abused citizens of California going to have to pay for their SUV's too?
