You and I both know Bush doesn't appear to be working the conservative cause right now (outside of the War on Terror, which is everyone's cause). If dollars speak for ideology, then it's apparent he's pandering to the left. From the Minority home ownership plan to this obscene AIDS package, he apparently either 1) truly believes in these causes (SHOCKING IF TRUE!) or 2) is using tax dollars to build inroads with these interest groups. That may be the point, but what really shocks conservatives on this forum is the fact that it looks as if he has abandoned his principles to build in-roads with a group that will not leave their dance partner, the Democratic party. So why do it? The only conclusion we can draw,("we", meaning the Bush Confused Conservative or BCC), is the man may actually believe in this Socialist "We are the world" crapola.

The BCC would love to support this guy, we love his military leadership, his moral dedication to the office, but when people come onto threads debating the ridiculous stance of NOT racially profiling at airports, especially after 9-11, why, frankly, our intelligence is insulted by this ignorance. We know that this is an indefensible stand to take post 9-11, unless it is being done to do nothing but make us feel happy thoughts, hence my Cleaning Lady. And those, btw, are the Bush supporters that can be satired ;-)

Now, what I believe this article by Coulter is saying that prior to 9-11, Bush made statements to the fact that he did not believe in racial profiling as a security measure at airports, and I and most others would agree back then that if that was done, it was being done with little or no merit. It was wrong then, but this is now, post 9-11, Bush is not addressing the issue of racial profiling and neither is his Director of the FBI, in fact his airport security measures are an indication that he continues on with this insane no-profiling stand when it is obvious to all that it should be done. While little ladies and Gore are being searched, terrorists that meet the profile are apparently not due to the anti-profiling nature of the airport security.

In fact, we know that the liberal "fetish" regarding the profiling issue is partly responsible for the FBI not acting on the information they had concerning the flight schools. Due to this being a fetish of the left, the wise thing to do would be to do the thorough and complete checks of these middle-eastern males in combination with spot checks of non m-e passengers, and doing so without public comment.

So rather than address the obvious, that we need to be examining everyone coming into our country that meets the terrorist profile, Bush is paying homage to the left by not addressing this serious issue. Meanwhile, old ladies and Gore are being searched at the airports, a directive from this Administration. Now, as a frequent airline passenger myself, I want to give Bush the benefit of the doubt, that he's actually doing what I suggested. But from my first hand experience, he apparently has not given those orders yet. And the elephant in the room, he just stands there.

You should ghost write for Ann. You were coherent.

I know the concerns. I wish Bush would stand up and say ... "Damn right we're profiling! We know that our greatest risk is from Arab or Asian Muslim men, ages 18-35, with temporary or guest visas from certain areas and active passport activity to certain places in the last 24 months. So, we're racial profiling. We're gender profiling. And were age profiling. And we're citizen status profiling. We're location profiling. Because that group, with that status, in those locations are most likely to kill a bunch of us again. OK? They already have. 3000 of us. If 85 year old Swedish women start terrorizing and killing our citizens, we'll start demographic profiling them instead. Arab-Americans who are stopped in high risk centers ... airports, bus terminals, power plants, railroad and other utility centers .... I'm sure they will understand the reasons and good intent of our vigilence. But we're going to be assertive and vigilent. We want to catch bad guys with the murder of our families in their plans. And, together, we will." End of story.

That would be nice, and it would be nice if he told James Zogby in advance to stick it up his hole.

But Coulter's allegations are false. I can tell you Reg, I fly too damn much ... there IS a random check in place. I asked someone who knows ... It's a buzzer that goes off and you are shuffled to the side. They can buzz anyone over they want, but they can't stop a random buzz. So Gore got searched. But there's no evidence that Muslim men are being waved through or given preferential clearance. That allegation is unsupportable and ridiculous. It's all pap.

This is like deconstructing the meaning behind a painting some chimp with four paint tubes just threw together. Regards!

I know the concerns. His capitulation on the farm bill was a disgrace, and politically retarded. He had a chance to either pummel Jeffords and Leahy or pummel Daschele and put farm state Democrat centrist imposters on the grittle. He blew it bad, and I will say he was either asleep or in a fetal position with Powell that day. Bush signs that thing: Jeffords gets his reward for traitorism, Leahy has no retribution for sticking his finger in Bush's chest time after time, Daschele and Bush "subsidize" Wellstone, Johnson, Carnahan and Harkin with a huge premium meant to cover the amount THEIR farmers would have been screwed out of so that LEAHY AND JEFFORDS and the Massachusetts creeps could keep their vile Dairy subsidy. It was a complete F U. I'd like to ring Andy Card's neck ... he completely backstabbed some damn good GOP challengers in MN, SD, IA, GA, MO by not forcing a vote that either screwed Daschele and Jeffords or screwed the farmers of their state. I wrote a very pointed and detailed letter to Rove, Bill Frist and Don Nickles. Frist should be ashamed of himself. He should have filibustered that thing until the WH gained their senses. He's supposed to win back the Senate and he completely dropped the ball. These guys are not as professional as the Dems Reg, I'm telling you. They don't have that killer instinct to discipline their caucus. The GOP has 7 free agents running around from camera to camera. The DEMS have perfect lockstep. Because, the Dems rely on Terry McAulliffe to move union money around to the well behaved boys and girls. The GOP just throws the money 49 ways. Idiots. The Pubs don't have that fire in their belly because you and I don't want the Government in our lives. The Dem supporters NEED Government in their lives. Who's going to fight harder?

Look, I wish Bush would stand up and say ... "Damn right we're profiling! We know that our greatest risk is from Arab or Asian Muslim men, ages 18-35, with temporary or guest visas from certain areas and active passport activity to certain places in the last 24 months.
