What a crock, This was added to the original bill by Max Baucus ("A tax break for environmental groups is being added to part of President Bush's faith-based initiative") but somehow this reporter wants to say it was Bush who came up with it. Another example of how the left is trying to stir up the right

The exact wording is: "The tax cut is supported by the Bush administration," and if that's not the case, it certainly seems that the opponents of the tax cut who are quoted believe the administration is backing it. BTW, this is from the Washington Times -- not exactly "the left."

Exactly. But I am still angry about it.

Unless the Republicans take back over the Senate - THESE KINDS OF OUTRAGES WILL CONTINUE TO HAPPEN AND ONLY GET WORSE!

BUMP for TRUTH!
The left is DESPERATE and grabbing at anything they think might stick. Bush has removed most planks the Dems rely on to attack every conservative President and their only hope is to divide conservatives. Unfortunately many posters on this forum are willing to be led by the Dems without even realizing that they are playing their game.

Sorry, but you're wrong there, pal. Bush has included this proposal in both of the budgets he has submitted to Congress. You'll find it on page 44 of Analytical Perspectives from the FY2002 budget and on page 71 of the same document from the FY2003 budget. The budget document calls it, "a cost-effective, non-regulatory approach to conservation."

GOOD! Let the right get stirred up ... a few months ago I'd be on Bush's side here, but after tarriffs and several other ANTI-FREE-MARKET POSITIONS I'd say Bush cannot be trusted to be consistently pro-free-market. He needs to feel the heat to see the light once in a while!
