A tax break for environmental groups is being added to part of President Bush's faith-based initiative.
This administration is getting so confusing. Are we supposed to hug the homeless or hug a tree?
Did you notice how line one of the article is contradicted by line two?
Is the tax break for the enviro group/govt group or for the land owner?
Believe it or not, there are many land owners who would like to see their farm/ranch remain intact when they sell it, but they have to be willing to accept less money. A developer is willing to pay more since he will be turning that land into 5 acre mini-ranchettes and mobile home estates.
Not only does this tax break preserve open space, it reduces federal revenues.
How about a great Big "Circle Hug", or something like that that's done in Washington, D.C. every day.
