I think it's pretty clear. A Republican who subscribes to the US Constitution will support legislation and actions which limit the ever-increasing reach of the federal government. (This is a direct correlation to the first part of my paragraph). A Republican who subscribes to the US Constitution will vigorously oppose any legislation or action which increases the power of government beyond its Constituional boundaries, or that infringes upon the rights inherent in individuals. (This is a direct correlation to the second part of my paragraph.)
It isn't just a homily. And it isn't rocket science either. Foundational principles should be reflected by behavior - and that ISN'T just my opinion.
Concrete examples please. Stop pontificating and actually put forward an example that we can look at in the context of the constitution.
