Actually I would rather see all the posts from the neocons, commenting on how global warming may be real after all, and maybe we should be taking a better look at it now. Of course, now they are changing direction again.

Since you're not talking about me, I can't address your comment.

I have read a number of posts since yesterday and I don't recall one along the lines you claim. please provide some references to support your point of view. we have always had a handfull of folks who claim global warming exists but none that I recall the man is responsible or man can reverse it.

But you may not want to argue this point either.

Although I don't think I qualify as a neocon, I think you need to go to the NOAA web site and read their discussion of global warming.

NOAA discussion of global warming and paleoclimatology

There is some evidence that the earth is warming. The dispute that I have is why, and if any reduction of greenhouse gases will have any effect on the outcome.

Looking at the data on that site, which is run by career weather and climatologists, there appears to be evidence of warming. However, I raised several questions about the data collectioin methods on another thread, so I am not totally convinced. The scientific community is split on this issue, and therefore it should not be surprising that everyone in the government isn't on the same page. The only part of the report that I would dispute is the amount of contribution man-made causes have on warming. And even that can be looked at as coming primarily from the 19th and early 20th centuries, when smokestacks belched carbon into the atmosphere, before there was a public demand for clean air.
