And this surprises anybody?

Simon has repeatedly called for Davis to come clean about his fundraising for months, but Davis' liberal Democrat staffers prefer to call Simon names and attempt to blow smoke. The media is making some squawking noises because Davis is so blatantly corrupt even they can't ignore it, but they're letting Davis spin them.

The fact is, Davis is a crook. He is the most corrupt governor California has ever had. He spends 12 hours a day fundraising -- according to his own spokeman -- and we wonder how taxpayers got saddled with a $23.6 billion deficit, higher taxes, an energy crisis, higher energy bills, no increased water supply, and no improvement in student test scores?

Wake up, liberal media. Davis should be in prison, not in the corner office.

Dump Davis! And fast!

The liberal media may dump Davis (we'll see). If a republican governor was the culprit the coverage would have hounded him out of office already. As it is, I am aware of this story only because of Free Republic.

That's really scary. I know that if Davis was a Republican he would have been forced to resign at this point, and his Democrat opponent would be given front page coverage in the best possible light, yada yada.

But, Davis is a Democrat and while he is the most corrupt governor in the country, and possible our history, he is given light treatment by the press. I am happy to see, at least, that they are REPORTING SOMETHING about his shenanigans. There are many to report.

Let's hope and pray that the people see the news, absorb it, and by the time the election rolls around in November, they DUMP DAVIS!

I did want to respond to you by saying that, yes, I am glad they are reporting something, too. I think this is so obvious they can hardly avoid it. CA do the right thing (please!).

Does anyone remember that publicity photo of where the CHP supposedly seized a lot of data to turn over to the investigators?

I said then, that if there were any documents that could incriminate the criminal Davis, we would never see them.

Along this line I want to see the cancelled checks showing that Davis and his SS AG, Lockyler have really sent back the money they got from Whoreacle and the Whoreacle fronts. I never believe that any rat really sends back the money they claim to send back when they get caught.

When does Davis and his petty criminals lie to Californians?

I've been pleasantly surprised by the amount of negative (read: truthful) coverage Davis has been receiving.

Don't get your hopes up. Soon they'll be saying, "Oh, it was just a few little mistakes, his heart is in the right place".

Even the Mercury News, who broke the Oracle story, prints things like "this is bad, but shouldn't hurt the governors re-election chances".

In a month of two the sheep won't even remember this. How many of them remember that this governor and his party ran Chuck Quackenbush out of his office over the very same thing except on a far smaller scale?

These stories simply reinforce what is already on the collective mind of the sheeple - that Gray Davis is crooked and unlikeable. That's why his re-elect numbers are so poor - despite what the media tries to portray. Whether that translates into a Simon win remains to be seen, but all these naysayers around here saying Simon doesn't stand a chance simply haven't been looking at the numbers.

But one number Grayout does have in his favor is that incredibly large war chest of illegal/unethical campaign funds.
