I'm not surprised either. One thought was the clinton whitehouse wanted the blame placed on the right wing militia,thinking they were more damaging to his agenda than the arab connection. IMHO Gunner

Oh come on!
It's not like they'd done anything else like that.
We all know that David Koresh was the only real threat to national security.
Besides, you can't hurt a federal building with a .308 from hiding so such a plan would never have gone any further.

Clinton's scare tactics of a "national threat" from "racist" "right-wing" "extremists" served him well to re-election. It also temporarily silenced some of his critics on "talk radio". G. Gordon Liddy was dropped from a number of stations as a result of OKC (even though he was not involved) and Rush Limbaugh's program was cited by members of the US government as fanning the flames of such hatred.
