Just one day after Hillary Clinton called for an investigation into President Bush’s prior knowledge of information regarding the September 11th attacks, Friday night she reportedly told a Dix Hills, New York audience that national security is her new top priority.
I’ll shuffle my papers here a few moments while you recover. Okay, glad you’re back. I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking, “Is this the same Hillary Clinton who reportedly despises the military? Is this the same Hillary Clinton whose husband gutted our armed forces, sold out our national security to the Red Chinese, reportedly bungled opportunities to liquidate or capture Osama bin Laden, and instead bombed a reported pharmaceutical plant in the Sudan in response to bin Laden’s attack of the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania?” Bill Clinton bragged we were getting two for the price of one when he took office. Does anyone believe that Hillary had no say-so in Bill’s foreign policy?
Per Newsmax.com, Hillary told the Dix Hills crowd, “Our challenge is much more pervasive than it would be if we were just facing one enemy in one place. [But there’s] the Middle East, Iraq, North Korea, Iran…”. The woman is trying to sound like George W. Bush -- she’s trying to sound Presidential – and a hawk on foreign policy! That’s not an accident – 2004 is not that far away, my friends.
Much of the noise this week in Washington was about President Bush’s apparent knowledge of information regarding the intentions of terrorists, which some say should have caused him to take further precautionary action prior to 9-11. And much of that noise was generated from reports of a CIA-commissioned report warning the administration that terrorists aligned with Osama bin Laden might hijack commercial jetliners to crash into the Pentagon and government buildings in Washington D.C. That report warned the administration in 1999. “Wait a minute!”, you say, “In 1999 George W. Bush wasn’t President, Bill Clinton was!” Good point.
Where was Hillary during her husband Bill’s foreign policy failures?
Well, we know where she was Thursday -- the floor of the U.S. Senate demanding answers of President Bush -- not her husband Bill -- holding up a New York Post with the headline, “Bush Knew”. But as Rush Limbaugh pointed out, “This is the woman who never could remember a thing. She didn’t know what happened to the Rose Law Firm billing records! She didn’t know why they reappeared with her fingerprints all over them, and she couldn’t remember anything when she was testifying in a grand jury or talking to reporters.”
Investigations are taking place and more are likely to follow which will undoubtedly focus on the kind of Watergate-like questions of, “What did the President know and when did he know it?”. And we do need to investigate to hopefully prevent tragedies like 9-11 from occurring again. But why would we only investigate the current administration, when it is clear to all rational observers that the setup for 9-11 began long before George W. Bush ever took the oath of office?
From where I sit, Hillary Clinton and her husband should be facing a swift and heavy kick from the justice system due to their continual, outrageous disregard for the rule of law. Instead, he’s contemplating replacing Oprah, and she’s a sitting Senator, poised to just possibly run for the highest position in the land – “only in America”, as they say.
The so-called “bipartisanship” displayed after September 11th was a hoax. Time and the hint of political advantage have given the enemies of America encouragement to let down their hair without embarrassment. It is time conservatives acquire some guts and go after the enemies of America starting with the Clintons; otherwise we will hand the greatest country in the history of the world over to soulless, unprincipled demagogues who seek the reins of power for the sole purpose of bringing this country to its knees.
Smoke out the Clintons!
