Rush has a handle on bedrock principles. That's why he is still #1 in the business--and his ability to entertain helps, yes.

I do not always agree with him, and sometimes I have written lengthy nastygrams to him.

However, his time is noon-three Central--and he OWNS it.

That's laying it on a bit thick don't you think?

And he won't stay #1 if he keeps annoying enough of his listeners.

This has happened before, you know.

A number of years ago Rush started obsessing about economics, money and other financial stuff.

People started complaining and I think his ratings started to drop, resulting in an abrupt about face.

Even Rush can't lead to a place where people don't want to go.
