[history]
Sacramento -- Three years ago, Gov. Gray Davis vetoed legislation designed to prevent state contracting scandals like the one now involving Oracle Corp.
The Davis administration is currently faced with explaining why it signed a $95 million contract with Oracle to license database software, even though few agencies expressed an interest. In addition, taxpayers could end up paying $41 million more for software than if there had been no Oracle contract at all.

Hmmm. No mention of whether Oracle gave money to the huckster and corrupt opportunist. I guess not. /sarcasm...

Oracle and Microsoft should merge. They could corner the market in bloated, needlessly complex, over-priced software.

Actually, Oracle contributed some significant money ($25K) to Davis. And to Attorney General Lockyer ($25K). Not that that will influence his impartiality ;-).

I think there was mention of that in one of the articles . I think it is on the Calgov2002 list unless it has dropped off, we have such a flood of articles on Grayout Davis.
Thanks for the ping!
Rats, I didn't catch that you had this on the list already.

Hmmm. No mention of whether Oracle gave money to the huckster and corrupt opportunist. I guess not. /sarcasm...Oracle gave something like $43,000 to Davis, and another $25,000 to Bill Lockyer. And this was five days after the contract was signed. Note to self: make sure that when I bribe the governor in return for a lucrative contract, buy off the state AG as well.
Donate $68,000, get $95,000,000. I wonder if I can get my bank to extend me a loan--it's a surefire investment opportunity.
Oh, and the contract was for 270,000 licenses for the software--the state has a total of 230,000 employees.

This is the tip of the iceberg with this Fascist criminal who has been doing Bravo Sierra like this to build up that campaign chest of his with over $30,000,000.
If we had a State Attorney General who wasn't a Fascist Criminal, himself. He would be all over this case. Of course he received a nice donation from Whoreacle to buy his silence.
If this was a power company trying to make a legal profit as per contracts with Kali. or Microsoft just selling its products legally, our Clymer AG would be all over them.
Of course this will be buried in the evening news and most of the left wing fishwraps whose editors/publishers are in bed with Davis and the rest of his fascist crooks!
SAVE CALIFORNIA! ABORT DAVIS!

I have a friend who is coming over today with a dump truck. We are going to give him "Dump Davis" bumper stickers for the tailgate. He'll give them to his friends and of course they are always on the road. I'll post a picture.
Gophack, this is how it's really done.

I just talked to a couple of construction guys. They love it. We need a bigger "Dump Davis" bumper sticker for dump trucks, something you won't miss ten car lengths back sitting in traffic in LA. I have a printer who can handle it and he'll probably do the job for cost. I am willing to do the artwork. We can have film ready tomorrow.
All I need to know is how many they want.
To: Carry_Okie
What would the size of these be? Let me know, and I will probably buy a few. I don't know anyone with a dump truck, but I have a relative who knows a lot of independent dump truck owners.

Oracle and Microsoft should merge. They could corner the market in bloated, needlessly complex, over-priced software. Actually, Oracle's business software is far too complex for lamebrained government IT people - third-rate employees who work at a significant discount compared to their public sector counterparts. This project was probably doomed no matter what they chose. It sounds like the individual state departments were at least wise enough to realize that they couldn't handle the implementations.
Microsoft doesn't have a competing product in this space. SAP, Siebel and PeopleSoft would be the likely competitors.

Well here we have the original,
And here we have the digitally-modified version:
