Simon has slipped in the polls recently, and the primary reason is probably because he won't disclose his income tax records. Hey, you'll have to do it when you run for President, may as well get it over now.

I hope he wises up and goes along with the disclosure. He's the closest thing to a shot at sanity
California's had in a long, long time.

He won't release his income tax records? Why not? That seems totally moronic to me. Maybe he had to file an extension. In any event, he better release them and do so pronto!
I cannot, for the life of me, imagine how any sane person could actually vote for Gray Davis. Based on what? His first term has been a disaster. Plus, his unfavorables are at 50%. For an incumbent this should be untenable. I'm also hoping his call for reparations will be his death knell.
GO SIMON!

Simon hasn't slipped in the polls. The professional political polls (including the liberal CTA) all show him leading Davis by 4-5 points.
The Field poll which showed Davis ahead by 14 points is of all adults who choose to answer the telephone. It is not a politically accurate poll, and even that one, tilting to the left as it was, showed Davis's negatives at over 50%.
Simon is ahead. Simon is going to win.

What's more important? -- Bill Simon's tax return, or Gray Davis' deficit ($20 billion and growing)?

Simon has slipped in the polls recentlyYou mean poll, of course. You believe the Field Poll, while ignoring four other polls showing Simon leading. Very convenient for the point you're desperately trying to make.
