COMING OUT SWINGING PING

Davis is a weasel. Unfortunately the uneducated masses sometimes will just swallow this as true. Luckily most of these people do not vote.
Now that Davis has officially started the mud throwing it is vital for Simon to come out in full force. If Simon attempts to play nice he will get smeared in the press and drop in the polls.

"Gay" Davis is a whore and he's made whores out of all us Californians because we're paying to get screwed by him. Go, Simon!!!!!!

I didn't see much in any of the Simon quotes that was derogatory, although I didn't like the idea of making taxpayer funded freeways into toll roads, and his pledge not to sign any new gun laws was pretty weak.

Personally I think it helps Simon to have Davis attack him for this kind of stuff. A lot of people will end up agreeing with Simon!Yep!
Go Simon!

Boy, Davis is desperate, isn't he??? Normally, you leave hatchet jobs to others. You don't dirty your own hands with it.
To: Impeach98
Personally, after reading it, I think the Davis 'Simon Says' section will 'backfire' on him. The 'left' will not change because of it, and those with inquiring minds will learn a lot more about the 'honest' and principled Simon. It's 'slanted' to try to 'smear' Simon, but it does not misrepresent where he stands on the issues. Only those with class and wealth envy and dead set against the 'life-choice', will feel encouraged about another term with
SHADY Grey, and how he taxes 'rich' people to benefit himself and the 'poverty pimps', not the people.
To all 'pro-choicers' who as yet don't understand.
'CHOOSE LIFE', your mother did!!!

What a cool website!! They've got a page that's nothing but side-by-side comparisons of Davis' wingnut policy stands versus Simon's common sense positions.

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but I've worked all over Cal., and from what I hear out of people, they aren't thrilled with Davis, but the only they want less is another Republican as governor, visions of Wilson are still dancing in everyone's head. I think he lost Cal. for the Rublicans for a long time. Riordan might have been able to do it, since he was really a Democrat anyway, but I'd be surprised if Simon wins. From what I've seen he's been an invisible candidate, just saw him on the news with Bush today, but aside from that, his appearances seem few and far between. They mentioned on the news that his campaign fund is down to nearly zero, which doesn't bode well either.

Bill Simon looks amazingly like Magic Johnson.

Anyone notice that there's nothing about Davis' NOR Simon's view on IMMIGRATION???
Bwahahahahah, why is THAT Red Davis??? LOL...anywho, it looks like Davis is scared of Simon and that the polls must be showing that Simon is GAINING...but I dunno...anyone have any of the latest polls??

If you click on "Learn more" at the website, it says:
"Against government protecting human rights of gays and lesbians, opposes laws protecting them from discrimination or harassment"
If you then click on "Read More", it says:
Though Simon was largely successful in avoiding discussing social issues Wednesday, he did say - in response to a question - that he would have vetoed the landmark gay rights bill that Davis signed last year. "I dont think its appropriate for the government to enter into legislation that has to do with sexual orientation," he said. [Los Angeles Times, March 7, 2002]
Simon would have vetoed AB 25, which grants couples registered as domestic partners benefits, including right to adopt partners child and right to make medical decisions for partners saying "I don't think it's appropriate for the government to enter into legislation that has to do with sexual orientation. [Los Angeles Times, March 7, 2002]
In a campaign press release Simon said, The state should not be in the business of trying to classify people or confer rights based on sexual orientation. [Release, January 14, 2002]
Kind of misleading I'd say.

Anyone else get the feeling that Davis' website was designed to appeal specifically to a 'casually-concerned' mentality?
'Simon Says' is the only adult & intelligent part of the place!

Some website. It makes Simon sound like a regular straight shooter. Though I have a hard time imagining hordes of undecided voters checking out websites to investigate their choices. But what do I know.
So what's with the big picture of Magic Johnson's happy face? Does this have something to do with Gray's decision to support reparations for slavery?
