I guess that makes those who are members of the Georgia Republican Party, activists also. Common goal: freedom.

No one is denying them their freedom. However, most presidents appoint people of like-minded political views. These appointments say Bush agrees with their gay agenda.

Sure - at least those members who do more than just vote in elections. Isn't an activist just someone who is active in publicly supporting a political cause that they believe in? There are good activists and bad activists out there...
