WASHINGTON PRESIDENT George W. Bush used a clunky verb when, speaking to a British interviewer, he blurted out a thought that, it is to be hoped, indicated his increasing discomfort with his policies: ''Look, my job isn't to try to nuance. My job is to tell people what I think.''

. But Bush's policy, bent by persons determined to nuance into inanity his war against terrorism,

He is surrounded by Klintoonites and doesn't have the "street smarts" to know it. It's time for Bush to return to the Conservative base that got him to the White House.

Does the term closet liberal ring a bell with anyone?

Gosh George, you did it again.

Hit that nail square and drove it home. I could not have said it better.

How does Mr. Will put my thoughts on paper so often.

"But Bush's policy, bent by persons determined to nuance into inanity his war against terrorism,"............bush would do better to listen to himself.

Sadly, Bush is making the huge mistake of trying to mimic Clinton's famous "triangulation" method.... In other words, he's trying to have it both ways.

Just a few short months ago Bush gave the world notice that terrorism and those who sponsor it are our enemy. Now, because of politics and oil, Bush is loosing his credibility by making exceptions. No one likes a slick politician who tries to apease everyone. For one, it cannot be done and it will only make this sorry situation worse for everyone.

Does that mean the US withdraws from NATO? Or is it just Jewish states the US shouldn't support?

U.N. Mandate created artificial countries...

LOL. There is nothing artificial about Israel. And it's not going anywhere. Deal with it! :)

Florida...

Which Bush needs to win to be reelected, and Karl Rove knows it. See recent Newsweek article posted here re: that. All your strutting and puffing is for nothing ya' know. Read the polls. Americans support Israel. That's a fact, Jack.

I'm picking up your jealousy of the fabulous Ms. Davidovit...

You pick up lots things apparently. All kinds of strange 'signals' and such. Must be why you bring in all sorts of topics onto threads that one would need a divining rod to follow. Might be your tinfoil hat doing that.

I am not worried about President Bush. I think his isolation of Arafat (are there showers in that Ramallah rathole BTW?) is very admirable. :)

Bush is losing his moral authority fast. The one thing the average non political American likes about Bush is that he is honest and genuine.......but we cant wage an all out no holds barred war on terrorism and then tell Israel they must accept terror.

It is hopeless. Last night the Israel First! Israel Uber Alles! gang was after Norweigans for being antisemitic. Earlier in the day, Pope John Paul was the target. Now it is Bush's turn. Again.

The generalization about Norway may be a bit much but the Pope (actually his Cardinals - as he is incapacitated) deserve plenty of discrediting after the statements they have released equivocating Israels' actions to the terrorists in the West Bank, his (their remarks) regarding Israel humiliating the Palis is hysterical.

Bush? It is clear to nearly all that his policy of all out war on terror for us and telling Israel to go to her room is hypocritical by any objective standard. Sometimes the light of truth leads to critique that is deserved.
