IMHO, if Israel feels it’s going to be abandoned by the US anyway, it’ll redraw the map of the Middle East in about ten minutes’ time, grab the oilfields, and kick out what’s left of the Arabs. Then the price of crude will stabilize, and everyone will kiss Israel’s feet or else. :’)

Yup. Israel is well aware of the saud’s. And, their purchasing powers. They also know the arab mindset. Where instructions must come from above. And, this builds in major fault lines.

For instance. If the missiles were operational in 1995, why weren’t they deployed when Saddam began massing at the Kuwaiti border, just to see what Clinton would do, in 1998?

And, what about those fancy F-15’s. Delivered to the saud’s. While the pilots were trained in Utah? Hmm? Did you know the Israelis said it was typical of saudi pilots to go out and get drunk? Because they wouldn’t flunk flight school.

You also don’t know what the repairs, or even testing cycles are. Just lots of heat and sand. And, no testing.

Israel’s moved right. While America just went left, unhappy with what the republicans did when they were in charge. Israel’s right is not worried about abortion, or creationism, either. Much more serious heads will get down to business, if it proves to be necessary. I can believe that.
