Self preservation and nothing more. They see that their ways have plundered their ability to save, and they see Social Security as a rotten result. I've met prior-socialists, and each one of them wanted more in their golden years, but found that they had nothing; no saving, no investments, etc. They simply desire more, more, and more, but never produce the earnings to get it.
People turn away from socialism when their lives depend on self preservation and socialist programs steal that away from them.

I wish you so called conservative hunters would take the time and read something. If you want to kill soemthing for the hell of it and teach kids to kill animals at will.....you have a screw loose too. You guys are so unbelievebly defensive and ignorant. LOL!! "

I just reread that post of mine to junta and you're right, it could very well be taken as snide in the context in which we were all posting. But I assure you, I did not mean it that way. I was glad to see your post junta. Kiltmaker, I mentioned to junta in freepmail that I often see pagans expressing the opposite sentiment, that was why I was surprised. (pleasantly!) Again, I apologize for not being more clear.

It takes a lot of skill and natural knowledge to get a deer with weapons so technologically advanced that a couple of them could probably have stopped the expansion of the Roman Empire. Why don't you try it sometime? I do it with a bow. Better yet, why don't you do it with no real teacher, just reading material, like I did?

I also used the skins from the deer- with sheepskins from the neighbor's fall slaughter, I am having a great time making deerskin coats and boots I'll bet those are great! I finally buckled down and bought a pair of shearling slippers and man are they wonderful. I would love to have winter boots like them.
