That is without a doubt one of the most ignorant statements I've ever heard. This land is rich and fertile. It produced good crops and most of the people farmed from the very beginning of America. Our ancestors were proud people and many would do without before taking charity although neigbors shared amongst themselves.

Right right. Those people liked to watch their kids die from lack of medical attention. They were just so hardy and strong they buried their children with smiles on their faces. Whos ignorant here? I am saying that they would have made use of whatever care was available at the time. Count it as a fact.
