Oh, I take the terrorists seriously. It's just hard to take our government seriously. Airport screeners have fondled the breasts of blond women (looking for?) and waved through Middle Eastern males in turbans. It sounds like a comedy motion picture except it's not funny considering the stakes.

And the screeners also seem to have a strange pre-occupation with laptop computers. We all know, no terrorist leaves home without his laptop, don't we? And now we get to pay an extra $10 surcharge on every plane ticket. Let me adjust my tinfoil hat here, ahem, one would almost think our government has ulterior motives in this whole thing.

It's been over two years ago since I said, "if there is anything to this globalization thing thing we'll need to see a few things in the very near future. 1) a large scale attack on American soil most likely of a terrorist nature, 2) a continuing threat to Americans, 3) increased restrictions and increased intollerance for any criticism of the government, 4) some method of subduing the religious fundamentalists of the world, 5) the economy continuing on the edge of recession, or worse.

Two things need to happen for the globalist vision to take it's next steps. Americans need to be subdued and religious fundamentalists need to be subdued. I made those predictions while clinton was still in office but never saw any reason why having a man with an R behind his name in the white house would change anything.

August 5, 1997 - "Ramzi Yousef, the man accused of masterminding the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, once bragged to authorities that he wanted to make one of the twin towers collapse into the other, killing thousands of people, prosecutors said Tuesday."

Operation Bojinka's bombshell
"But, Philippine and U.S intelligence officials said, the Bojinka operation called for a second, perhaps even more ambitious phase, as interrogators discovered when they pressed Murad about his pilot's licence. All those years in flight school, he confessed, had been in preparation for a suicide mission. He was to buy, rent, or steal a small plane, fill it with explosives and crash it into CIA headquarters.

There were secondary targets the terrorists wanted hit: U.S. Congress, the White House, the Pentagon and possibly some skyscrapers. The only problem, Murad complained, was that they needed more trained pilots to carry out the plot.

"It's so chilling," says Fariscal. "Those kamikaze pilots trained in America, just like Murad.

"The FBI knew all about Yousef's plans," she says. "They'd seen the files, been inside 603. The CIA had access to everything, too. Look," she adds, fishing in a plastic shopping bag for one of her most prized possessions, a laminated certificate of merit bearing the seal of the CIA. "Awarded to Senior Inspector Aida D. Fariscal," it reads. "In recognition of your personal outstanding efforts and co-operation." "This should have never, ever been allowed to happen," she repeats angrily. "All those poor people dead."

Six years before the Sept. 11 attacks, Philippine police took down an al Qaeda cell in Manila that, among other things, had been plotting to fly explosives-laden planes into the Pentagon -- and possibly some skyscrapers. The CIA knew about the plot, known as Operation Bojinka. So did the FBI. "We told the Americans about the plans to turn planes into flying bombs as far back as 1995," a Philippine inspector says. "Why didn't they pay attention?" - Was Ramzi Yousef an Iraqi agent?

One expert panel commissioned by the Pentagon discussed in 1993 how an airplane could be used to bomb national landmarks. But the panel decided not to publish the theory, partly in fear of inspiring terrorists. ...Several participants remembered discussing the possibility of a commercial airliner being deliberately flown into a public building in the nation's capital. The idea may have been inspired by disclosures about an alleged plot by hijackers to destroy France's Eiffel Tower using an aircraft, Probst said. "Coming down the Potomac, you could make a left turn at the Washington Monument and take out the White House, or you could make a right turn and take out the Pentagon.."
