Bishop Weigand is a solid pro-life Bishop, but he's not the most political or eloquent speaker. I don't know who would be a good choice ... but I agree with you, that someone high up needs to stand up and tell Governor Davis that he can't have it both ways -- he can't claim to be a Catholic and then turn around and go against all teachings of the Catholic Church. Abortion, gay marriage, contraception ... all of these issues the Church has unequivocably taken firm stances against ... and good Catholics must either publicly agree, or keep quiet and pray for forgiveness.

This thing needs to be brought to ahead. There has to be a Catholic Bishop of Cardinal in California who is eloqent and able to say, "I'm sorry, Davis. You are not a Catholic. You are an abortionist! Therefore you can't take communion anymore in any Catholic Church!"
